The Friends of NRA and The NRA Foundation are dedicated to preserving our firearms heritage. We believe the future of shooting traditions lies in programs that inspire, educate, and train individuals to safely and passionately develop their skills.

Our Commitment to the Next Generation

Because America’s youth represent the future of shooting sports, our State Fund Committees proudly allocate over 80% of grant funding to youth programs.

• Eddie Eagle GunSafe®: Teaches children the critical safety steps to take if they find a gun.

• Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.): Trains high school students to become effective leaders and intelligently debate their Constitutional rights.

• Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC): Inspires and educates young hunters across the nation.

• Community & Scholastic Groups: Provides funding for marksmanship programs in JROTC, Boy Scouts, and 4-H.

Safety and Training for All

We provide funding for a diverse range of programs designed to empower every member of our community:

• Refuse to Be A Victim®: Equips people of all ages with life-saving knowledge on situational awareness and avoiding danger.

• Women on Target®: Helps women gain confidence, skills, and a supportive community in the shooting sports.

• Military & Law Enforcement: Enhances the marksmanship skills of our nation's protectors through specialized training.

• Disabled Veterans: Supports programs like the Paralyzed Veterans of America’s National Trapshoot Circuit, ensuring our heroes have opportunities to continue shooting.

Building the Foundation for Training

Safe and accessible ranges are the backbone of our community. Through NRA range grants, hundreds of indoor and outdoor facilities have been built or repaired, providing essential venues for students, competitors, and enthusiasts to learn and practice.
